Idle Foundry

Hammer the furnace to smelt your first ingots, then watch a humming factory line take over as drills, presses and robot arms turn raw ore into robots. Retool for golden gears, spend them in the Workshop, finish guild commissions and climb ten Foundry Ranks until you can build the Golden Automaton.

How to play

Tap the furnace to earn coins, then build and upgrade the six machines along the belt. Each item that makes it further down the line sells for more, so keep the slowest machine upgraded, hit every tenth level to double a machine's speed, and hire bots so jams stop and the factory earns while you are away. The Gear Vault gathers golden gears while the line runs, faster with every digit of income: retool to cash them in, then spend them on Workshop research that lasts forever, like better prices, higher level caps and a faster vault. Finish contracts, rush orders and commissions for extra gears, climb the Foundry Ranks to open more research, and build the Golden Automaton to finish the foundry.

Controls

• Tap the furnace or the factory floor to smelt (Space on a keyboard)
• Tap a jammed machine to fix it, tap a smoking one to steady it before it jams, tap a blueprint to build
• Tap Upgrade or press 1 to 6 to level machines; hold to keep buying
• Tap the contract strip above the machines (or press C) to see contracts and hand in finished ones
• Tap the golden gear counter at the top, the Workshop button or press W to spend gears on research
• Controller: left stick or D-pad moves the highlight, A uses it (hold A on Upgrade to keep buying), X smelts from anywhere
• Controller: Y grabs a golden crate, fixes or steadies a machine, or hands in a finished contract; LB and RB change the buy amount, View opens the Gear Vault, B goes back to the furnace, Menu pauses
